In today's fast paced corporate life, companies are looking at trained management professional rather than fresh management graduates with only academic degrees. Hence for a student to become employable in the corporate world, he/she requires a training which combines of knowledge, skills and attitude. A traditional way of working on a 2 months summer project during the course is not sufficient to gain the required skills and hence we at ISTTM have added a 6 months paid long term internship program along with the project work, so that the students gets a first hand experience of corporate life.
After the completion of corporate certification program in the third semester, the students are offered to various companies in ICT industry as interns for a fixed stipend. On successful completion of internship the companies might offer full time employment to the student.
Internship process is a win – win situation for both the students and corporate as the students get the right platform for them to apply the concepts learnt in the college in the real time scenario and the corporate gets a trained manpower for a longer period and also the chance to evaluate a student sufficient time before employing on a full time basis. There by reducing the overall manpower acquiring costs.
